Ivan Chu

Lawyer from San Marcos National University and holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) from the University of Virginia School Of Law. He is member of the Peruvian Institute of Taxation Law (IPDT) (former Director), of the Tax Committee of the Private Corporate Institutions National Confederation (CONFIEP), and the Lima Bar Association. He has vast experience in tax advisory for local and international operations, topics related to banking and finance projects and corporate tax advisory in general.

He is also specialized in the design of tax structures related to mergers and acquisitions, investment funds, finance instruments and investment projects in general. His professional practice has been highlighted by the main prestigious specialized international publications, whom recognized him as a Peruvian leading lawyer, including Chambers and Partners, Legal 500 and Who’s Who, among others.

Before he joined the Firm, he was partner and co-founder of CDA Lawyers, partner at Payet, Rey, Cauvi, Perez Law Firm and partner at Rebaza, Alcazar & De Las Casas Lawyers.

He also worked for the Chief Counsel Office for the Internal Revenue Service – IRS in Washington D.C, and at the Legal National Intendancy of the Peruvian Tax Administration – SUNAT.
