Johana Timana
Lawyer from Catholic Pontifical University of Peru (PUCP) and holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) from the International Tax Center – Leiden University (Holland).
She is member of the Peruvian Institute of Taxation Law (IPDT) and International Fiscal Association (IFA).
Her professional practice focuses on structuring transactions to optimize tax costs, local and international tax planning, as well as analysis of the tax implications of various transactions and corporate reorganizations. She has more than 15 years of experience.
She is professor at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Peru (Faculty Law and LLM in Tax Law); has published specialized articles and has been speaker in events organized by the ABA Latam, the Peruvian Tax Law Institute and the German- Peruvian Chamber. She was ranked as Next Generation lawyers on 2018 by The Legal 500 and her career has been growing exponentially during these years. Indeed, She was nominated by ITR Tax Awards as Latin America Tax Leader on Transfer Pricing on 2022 and Rising Star by Legal 500 on several years, and one of the best tax litigation lawyer by Leaders League on 2023.
Before she joined the Firm, she was Director at Philippi, Prietocarrizosa, Ferrero, DU & Uria Law Firm and Tax associate at Miranda & Amado.
