Walther Belaunde
Walther is a graduate Lawyer from the Catholic Pontifical University of Peru and has studies in Management Development and Boards of Directors at the University of Piura and also in Negotiation at Harvard University. Walther was the first President of the Tax Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce of Peru. He is member of the Peruvian Institute of Tax Law (former Director), of the International Fiscal Association (IFA) and the Lima City Bar Association. His professional career has been featured by Chambers and Partners, as a tax lawyer, (Band 2) and in Leaders League. He has also received recognitions from Latin Lawyer, LACCA and Best Lawyer, among others.
Walther has vast experience in tax and corporate general advisory, as well as in tax and corporate structuring, corporate reorganizations, business transfers, complex contracts, internal and external financing and in tax and labor aspects of Peruvian and foreign personnel retributions.
Before he joined the Firm, he was Partner of Acerta Advisors, of Santivañez Lawyers and of Rebaza, Alcazar & De Las Casas Law Firm. He was also Tax Director at Southern Peru Copper Corporation and Partner of Deloitte & Touche Tax at the tax and legal advisory division. Walther has also been associated lawyer of the Barrios, Fuentes, Urquiaga and Dañino Law Firm.
